if you cannot consistently landing on the boost panel after doing the fast method, you can hold in midair and release a purple miniturbo, youll still be boosting when you land so you can basically get the boost without landing on the panel :)

The first time I succeeded in the double gap cut was in an online race despite having never pulled it off offline before that. Being in a real race stops me from overthinking and tends to improve my ability to do that specific shortcut.
