Climate change including temperature increases, ocean acidification, and sea level rise is impacting different regions differently. Islands have a unique set of issues. This presentation will explore the current and expected changes surrounding climate change in Hawai'i.
Ku'ulei Rodgers is a research faculty at the University of Hawai'i at the Hawai'i Institute of Marine Biology where I have worked for the past 21 years. She helped develop and maintain the Coral Reef Assessment and Monitoring Program that tracks changes in coral cover at over 60 reefs in Hawai'i. She also conducts research related to anthropogenic impacts on coral reefs including climate change.
