I'm a brand new cross stitcher, I mostly knit, so I've only stitched on 14 count Aida and 28 count Lugana. I definitely prefer the Aida right now but I'm sure that that will change as time goes on!

Your projects are wonderful! I have just ordered that very same stocking. Looking forward to watch as you stitch on yours. Jan Hicks also tempted me to order silk from Spain too. They are beautiful. I am just getting back into cross stitching after almost 20 years and so far have only stitched on Aida..16, 18 (my favorite) and 20 count. I am just thrilled to see all the colors that cross stitch fabric comes in now! So many possibilities!

I like to stitch on 16/18 count dyed Aida. I try and support small businesses and purchase as much from them as I can 😁.
