Its incredible to me that the item sword of Damocles actually produced a sword of Damocles situation in which NL has all the items and resources in the world but is constantly paranoid that the sword will fall and kill him any second despite giving no indication that it actually will.

Chat definitely doesn't understand Damocles. There's 0 chance of dying from it if you don't take damage, which as the Lost can only happen if you die and use up a respawn. Getting hit activates the random clock to drop the sword, and no further hits will change anything about the sword.

Just had our second kid 3 weeks ago, and what NL says basically runs completely true to my experience. It's a massive change, and it's a lot of work. But the more work you put in, the more you have come me back.
Attempt to put on place a nice routine early-ish. Could be little things like always going a walk at a certain time (if off work). At first this will help the parents more than baby. We started implementing a night time sleep routine around 2 month mark with our first. That is a large battle but reaps so many rewards (even if it took a lot my time to establish properly)
The days at the start truly feel long and exhausting, but the years feel short.
This is in no means gospel, and there's a lot more, but this is YT.

Also, Ty NL for all the vids, they have helped me drift off after the several night time feeds/changes with baby 2!

when i first started watching you i had to have been like 13, i had no knowledge of you or isaac. i’ve been watching on and off for years. i am 19 now, your videos give me a nostalgia that is hard to re create. over the course of the past 6 years i have always come back to these videos and it makes me happy that you are still producing them, and that it’s just as nostalgic. A lot of content creators fade away after a long time, really glad you stuck with it and happy to hear that your baby is healthy!

16:04 I hate how hearing relatable bits makes me want to share my own experiences lmao.
I remember being 6, my dad and i went to a double function. First movie was Jason X. Kinda scary but cool, i loved watching Friday 13th movies with my dad. 2nd one was Jeepers Creepers. Absolutely terrified me, no horror movie to this day scared me more than that. After the scene where the monster eats the tongue of that decapitated woman i closed my eyes hard as i could and covered my ears for the rest of the movie. I was desperate, who knew hands didnt stop sound from reaching your ears
