These developers are literally coding a game of chess. What vehicle can do this, what vehicle can’t do that. What vehicle is supposed to deal with this, what vehicle is weak to that. Please make more of these videos. I love the idea of dissecting GTA Vs code.

This kinda explains why you get the destroyed notifications for the Omnis & Virtue but can still get in the vehicles or send them to storage without calling MMI

It’s actually kind of neat that they added a functional difference in calculation due to electric vehicles not having gas tanks. Even if the number of missiles is totally unrealistic, it logically follows that a gas powered vehicle would explode from explosives more quickly than an electric one.

love these math vids and would love more for different vehicles, maybe even a spreadsheet for a lot of common vehicles to see how tough they would be

it's kinda cool seeing just how much code goes into even making the most simple of things like damage calculations

That car at around 0:28 tried so hard to hit you it went full 90 degrees magically.

Petrol! Now it makes sense. Retrospect, I remember Liberty City you could blow up cars with a bullet to the gas cap of vehicles. Thanks for geeking out with us, contrats on the collab with Tez! Legend

You should make a video about armoured glass sometime, it would be interesting to know how it works exactly.

Amazing seeing you getting really into how the game physics works🤩

Awesome video, I would definitely watch more of these. Also is there any way you can see how much damage the flak guns do compared to normal rockets?

When I saw petrol tank on the list. I was thinking of story mode, how vehicles there can run out of fuel if you put a hole in it

What happens in the code when a sticky bomb is shot ou tof your hand when you are holding it out of the window? Some sort of override? I doubt it would multiply the damage to a higher amount.

I know this is a very unpopular question but does anyone know why the riot van is extremely strong towards sticky bombs but weak to all other forms of explosive damage. It just doesn't seem to follow any other armored vehicle behavior.

Knowing all of this, any theories as to what causes the armour bug (e.g. the avenger)?

This somewhat explains why the Havok minigun explodes vehicles without them ever getting to smoke and why the buzzard miniguns do make them smoke and eventually explode.

They probably damage different parts of the vehicle (gastank, engine and body)

I thought this was going to be about the armor for non armored and non Imani Tech vehicles.

Because I've seen people comment claiming that adding 100% armor to a standard vehicle, such as a DeLuxo, Baller ST, Deveste 8 etc, makes the vehicle "heavier"

I don't know if this is true or false, but to me, I didn't see or feel a difference in weight but I have noticed with no armor, if I jump off a small cliff the wrong way, the car blows up and says I've committed suicide but with armor upgrades, I can crash the vehicle multiple times and not blow up as easily as I would in a car with 0% armor applied
