Stem cells are progenitor cells. They are like the initial stage of cells that have not decided which cells they will become.

It breaks my heart seeing him in so much pain, he's an amazing guy he brings so much joy with him wherever he goes, anyone of us could approach him and he would be civil.

$2, 800 is not bad to help fix a lifetime of debilitating pain

This is why in the U.S. if you have a hospital birth you would have to pay 10k+ to keep your own placenta.

There are 3 kinds of *stem cells:*

• *_Totipotent_*_ stem cells that can become any cell in the body and also the _*_placenta_*_ and _*_umbilical cord._*

_Only available from the first few earliest _*_embryonic_*_ cell divisions._

• *_Pluripotent_*_ stem cells that can become any cell in the body._

*_Embryonic_*_ stem cells are mostly this type._

• *_Multipotent_*_ stem cells that can become multiple cell types, but is more limited than the pluripotent cells are._

*_Adult_*_ stem cells and _*_umbilical cord_*_ blood are in this category._

It’s not because of politics but because of ethics.

Stem cell injections are not universally forbidden in the USA, but their regulation and use are subject to specific guidelines and restrictions. The main reasons for these regulations include:

1. Lack of FDA Approval: Many stem cell therapies have not received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) due to concerns about their safety and effectiveness. The FDA typically requires rigorous testing and clinical trials before approving new medical treatments.

2. Potential Risks: Stem cell therapies can carry risks, such as infection, tumor formation, or inappropriate tissue development, especially when not administered properly. Unregulated use of stem cells can pose serious health risks to patients.

3. Proliferation of Unproven Clinics: Some clinics in the USA have marketed unproven and potentially unsafe stem cell treatments to patients. This has led to regulatory action to protect consumers from false claims and unsafe practices.

4. Ethical Concerns: The use of certain types of stem cells, such as embryonic stem cells, has raised ethical concerns due to the source of these cells. Regulations aim to address these ethical dilemmas and ensure that research and treatments adhere to ethical standards.

5. Lack of Standardization: Stem cell treatments vary widely in terms of their source, preparation, and administration methods. The lack of standardized protocols can make it difficult to assess their safety and effectiveness.

It's important to note that there are FDA-approved stem cell therapies for specific conditions, such as bone marrow transplants for certain blood disorders. However, the regulatory landscape for stem cell treatments is evolving, with ongoing efforts to strike a balance between innovation and patient safety. Patients considering stem cell therapies should consult with qualified healthcare professionals and research the specific treatment's status and legitimacy to make informed decisions about their healthcare options.

I cut the top clear off my left index finger, just above the top joint.
First hospital wasn’t equipped to reattach so they wrapped in gauze and sent me hour away to another that could. By the time I got seen the gauze had permanent dried to the wound and had to be cut off around the edges and left to heal in the wound..tip couldn’t be reattached
dr felt bad…nurse comes in with “clear goop” in a package, rubs it all in on it, wraps it up sends me home..she told me it was stem cell. Within 2-3 weeks as it healed the whole top of finger began growing back and taking its original shape. It’s now barely noticeable..Curial and nail fully restored however not the same as the original I’m just glad it grew back.

Mexican healthcare when you pay for it is absolutely incredible. My grandmother needed a hip replacement. She was in a ton of pain and could barely walk. Canada healthcare put her on an 8 year waiting list. She was 70 years old at that point! Instead, she paid $30, 000CAD to have it done. Flew down to Puerto Vallarta 2 weeks later and stayed in a resort to recover for another week and a half or so. She golfs every day in the summer and the surgeon even gave her some tea, literally, that made her completely lose all craving for nicotine after drinking it once. Hasn't smoked a cigarette since a few days before her surgery.

As someone with a herniated disc in my lower back that causes sciatica this is really interesting to me, I’ve been in constant pain for 9 months and have had moments where I could barely walk or stand, I’ve gotten a round of cortisone injections and they helped slightly but the procedure wasn’t fun and they wore off after 2 months give or take. I was also billed $4000 due to insurance refusing to cover the procedure for an mri that was needed for the injection as well as the injection. I’ve heard great things about stem cells and for $2800 I think I might consider it as my next step

Actually it’s mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) and they mainly give out beneficial anti inflammatory factors to the injected areas, not differentiate into other cells. Then they die
