Realizing damage wasn't everything really helped in this game. In DS3, some tournament players would prefer 12 more AR or 3% absorption over more stamina, regen or other options.
In this game I realized that poise stacking is way stronger than damage dealing, specially at the lower levels. You can hit 115 poise at level 60 easy while still doing good damage with status procs.

I honestly like like my builds to not just deal a lot of damage, but to be able to use a variety of weapons. I can’t swap the way you do, but I do use a few different ones in situations

I wanted to do an arcane based build with the flamberge and morningstar while using blood flame spells and honestly I have no clue if I should just pump arcane and go occult lol

weapon arts can often make up for a lower stat investment like in moonveil's case. but also some weapons like vyke's can shred at base requirements due to high base damage and ofc madness

The Alexander shard only gets 15% damage boost not 30%

Actually another point for a 125 meta. If you want to maximize damage, sure go for it but you‘re going to have to sacrifice something for it. If you‘re willing to lower your damage on paper you‘re going to have a much better build for it.

Using now some variation of lightroll moonveil 40 int, it is so good and honest(lule) when conection is good, but it sucks when u fight the asians or americans....
