Does anybody else just love the moment Bruce gets blasted with gamma rays the eye of the Hulk just pops right out signaling that the Hulk inside him has awaken.

It's crazy how the directors had no idea what kind of impact this had on me as a kid having no prior knowledge to comics or superheroes this was insane.

*Gamma radiation: I’m about to start this whole mans career.*

His willingness to jump in front of all of the gamma radiation is what really sells this. He doesn't hesitate to grab his colleague to pull him out of the way. He just does it, no questions asked. And it saves a friend, even if it "creates" a monster within himself. Pure mentality of the situation, no thoughts

The radiation was so intense that it turned Erik Bana into Mark Ruffalo

In avengers Bruce mentions that hulk may have actually absorbed the bulk of the radiation which is why he survived

The hulk was already inside Bruce, the gamma just woke it up

Hulk was so big back then he's like a killing machine. Now he's a puny giant.

As a person suffering from OCD and a marvel fan with all due respect, this scene best describes how severe it became. The symptoms were a lot in control before but then, anxiety triggered it and its now acting hectic

One of the better "non-MCU" Marvel films.

To be honest. This wasn’t really a bad movie in my opinion. For me personally, I actually like this movie. It’s truly a classic and it’s the Hulks first movie ever. I use to be afraid of it back in 2003, and now I have it on dvd. This movie was a pretty dark superhero movie. Rest In Peace Stan Lee.🙏

*Fun Fact: This actress that plays Betty Ross is also the voice of Karen in the MCU... specifically Spider Man’s suit.*

This movie was ahead of it's time. I absolutely loved it then, and I still love it now.

That girl was acting like she wasn't happy that Bruce survived the exposure.

What I really like about this film despite its flaws is how comic accurate it is. Just like issue no. 1 of The Incredible Hulk Bruce Banner gets exposed to gamma Ray's by heroically saving someone from gamma explosion where the 2008 film just rips it from the 70s TV series.

The first minute of this clip is actually some damn good cinematography and acting.

Seeing Jennifer Connelly in this movie awoke something in me

What's interesting about this is scene is that while everyone talks about how the gamma exposure awakened the hulk within Bruce because of David Banner's self-experimentation, it's that same self-experimentation that saved Bruce's life. Without Bruce's pre-existing mutation, he would've died. Though David traumatized Bruce, he also indirectly saved his life.
