I have this problem with my 5.30 SE GT and couldn't do this myself - I'm 78 and too old for all this stuff. What I have observed is that the condensation goes when the headlamp gets warm in the sunshine, so I took the protective cover of the lamp assembly and then removed the circular lid, that revealed the insides of the lamp. I got my vacuum cleaner with the small cleaning attachment (used to get down crevices) and carefully inserted it into through the circular opening to suck the air out of the lamp fitting. Then I got a hairdryer and gently warmed up the outside plastic light ((very gentle and careful) until all the water vapour was removed. That circular screw top insulation ring looked like it was dry so I've smeared some silicone onto this to make a better seal. This is the best I can do, if I have to do it a couple of times a year then so be it. My car isn't commercially worth much but to me it's a lovely car and I can't afford the £3k + that BMW would want to put new lights on. At my age, when I don't know how much longer I'll be able to drive, this is a good solution. Hope this works for you chaps - happy motoring.

I have a F25 (BMW X3). Is there a way to do this without removing the headlight from the car? How can I dry the headlight

Excellent work. Did the moisture go by itself?

Is it possible to coat the control module with a pcb lacquer to provide some protection from moisture? I have this problem with one headlamp on my 2013 m135i. If I, m going to repair it I'd be tempted to lacquer the pcb whilst it's apart.

How much would a garage charge me for this sort of repair because I'm not confident to take take apart the car fixing the headlight looks pretty straight forward but the idea of un bolting parts from the car not so much
