BMW window reset and calibration (E60 E90 E87 E84 F10 F30)

How to relearn your #BMW windows end positions for all the safety and comfort features to work properly in your car? This #calibration is needed after your windows mechanism has been replaced, sometimes after replacing car battery or after voltage dropdown.
Without it you can find you car with malfunction of the pinch-protection feature, remote opening and closing and single-touch opening and closing of windows.
If you window is going up and the down a bit, then probably you should check if window channels are not clogged with dirt, next clean and lube the window channels, and perform this reset and calibration procedure. You don't need to visit repair shops - just do it yourself without any tools or diagnostic interfaces.
This #window reset and adaptation tutorial should apply to all modern BMW cars like E60, E90, E87, E84 X1, F30, F10, F01, i3, i8.

Best video on the internet. My 2008 bmw 335xi driver side automatic window wasn’t rolling up properly. And when I opened the door the window didn’t automatically drop apron opening and closing the door. (This is key so that the glass doesn’t hit the roof of the car) after this video I tried it and it worked. My problem is now fixed. Thank you 🔥

Changed my door panel and unhooked the switch. While driving in the rain tried to roll window up and it went half way up then back down. Pulled this up while driving and got it up in 1 minute. You are appreciated

Wow!! Works like a charm in 2009 328. Just had battery and alternator replaced and window(driver) would not automatically go up. Nor did pinch protect function causing my driver window to be unseated from frame. Did this and worked a treat!!! Thanks a

Many thanks! Notice for E87 model (BMW 1, 2006): it's not ncessary to start the engine, just push the key and press the "start" button to start the board computer only. Press down and hold 15 sec for the front windows, about 30 sec for the rear windows. Initialisation sequence can be started after the window alert appear on the dashboard. It works perfectly!

thank you be sure to hold 15 seconds down i hear a click and then manually go up and don’t release the button you should also hear a click then retry by using 1 tap to see if it worked hope this helps someone.

I have done the relearn on 3 different windows now in my 2011 e90. It’s hot here so instead of using AC I cruise with all 4 windows down. 3 days ago ago my passenger side rear window wouldn’t roll up with my driver side controls, but it would roll up when I hold the lock button on my keyfob (thanks Carly). Did the relearn just as you showed, heard all the clicks, and it works like a charm the first time, in under a minute. Perfect!!!

Thank you! Fixed my i3 window issue. "One touch up" and the slight down/up when opening/closing door started not working and this was the fix!

Life saver! My 3 year old managed to somehow lock the passenger side window. The motor was working fine as when I attempted to close it from the drivers side I could hear the motor. However it would not go down. I thought some sort of electrics issue. Then I found this video and did exactly in the video and hey presto, all working! Thanks so much. Still working in a 2020 plate BMW 118 M Sport.
