Clojure and 5 Things You Need to Know about it in 2021| Programming in Clojure | Clojurescript

Clojure is a Lisp dialect. It was originally designed by ‘Rich Hickey’ in an attempt to solve the problems he was having when writing situational programs. No matter which programming language he tried, the result was the same – software that required a monumental amount of time and effort just to make relatively small changes to the coding. Not ideal.

The project was a success, as his team enjoyed working within a framework where there were immutable data structures and a custom-designed functional library. By combining the functional programming language that was Lisp and running it on a JVM like Java designed for concurrent programs, Clojure was born.

Erlang, Elixir, Haskell, Elm are also immutable like Clojure

Scala is also running on a JVM and supports tailrecursion

After watching all these Clojure developers in the video I realize I'm not pretty enough for this language.

Less stock footage and more footage about the very language you're talking about please. Also nobody wants to wait 2 minutes before the point of the video.

Fun video due to its huge contradictions. They are: maybe the most annoying and really vain and useless background music ever + super boring visuals and video materials (bought from some extremely blaaah blaah and over generalized media company) BUT every word about the Clojure was correct.
