THE Woman In Black (1989) – funeral scene

Interesting fact of the day (if you like scifi and horror and have children): Nigel Kneale was married to Judith Kerr who wrote The Tiger Who Came To Tea.

On the church, the pastor starts staring up at the ceiling when the woman in black appears. He stuttets over his sermon very slightly, its a good scene.

The best part of this scene is how she glides across the ground sideways ever so slightly from behind the grave marker so that she's in full view. It makes the hair on the back of my neck stand on end.

The 2012 film is good but this on the other hand, underrated as all hell and genuinely creepy and terrifying.

The Radcliffe version is good, but it has nothing on this version.
