Amazing how it went from just a few sticks to that huge nest over a few months!

No matter how many times I witness an eagle construct a nest from the bottom up, it never
gets old---I've seen partial rebuilds & from scratch & it's one of the most heart-warming things
to witness. I watched this nest collapse last season & I could not wait to see them rebuild it!!
Thank you EC, & congrats to Mom & Pop EC on their brand new nest! 🤗

Thank you so much for creating this. It has been so cool watching the ND's rebuild. And this is really great to see at one time reminding us what they did. Makes it all come together so well. Love it!!!

Fascinating! They must really like this tree. I was surprised they didn’t pick a new tree after last season.

This was so special to watch as it was happening, but absolutely love the time lapse as it really brings it together and gives a bigger perspective. Thanks for this video and cheers to a great season!

Thank you so much for making this video ECI! We are so proud of our Mom & Dad eagles! They did an amazing job. I'm so very happy that they rebuilt in their special sycamore tree. <3

So that’s how they do it: check to see if it’s sturdy, then position the sticks in parallel and perpendicular positions on top. Maybe even adding some softer material in the mind. Very clever.

Thank You ECI for creating this!! ;) Also thanks to @Bonster and @Kelly T for directing me here ... Found it!!! 🙂 Truely Amazing!!! ...So verrry cool to see this in time lapse!! Amazing how Mom and Dad worked so well together, and "congrats" on what a great job they did on what is essentially their first nest build (from scratch). It is amazing how God grants the instincts and knowledge to nature's creatures to build such things.

Glad to see the nest survived the big winds from the other day... it is a "fortress" for sure. From my photos from prior years, this new nest seems to be bigger, and deeper than the original. It also appears to have larger, more sturdy looking sticks!!! 😉

Oh My Gosh .... 4 months already... can you believe it!!? A new batch of "young-ins" soon on the way. Hopefully 3 again...they are so fun to watch. :) Have a great weekend guys!!! 😉 - Stephen.

Do eagles move their nest or keep it, if it hasn’t been disturbed? Also very cool video, I have been eagle watching and was super curious about how they contruct their nest

Now I know how special and efficient are human hands

It's especially impressive since they can't use tools and they don't have thumbs. They just sort of stick them there and construct him in such a way where over months and years of use they be come increasingly secure. Some of them can weigh over 2, 000 lb I've read. Maybe more I'm going from memory and I'm trying to be conservative

Do they knit the twigs together or just simply stack they upon each other? Seems like a good wind would knock it out but looking at some eagle cam nests, they seem to rid out some pretty good storms.

Imagine building your house, using nothing but your mouth.

Do the eagles sleep in a temporary nest while the main one is being built / rebuilt?
