Is the touch screen just a digitizer in front of an ordinary LCD, or is it all one part?

The bezel on this is nothing like my E7450 I'm trying to fix, and so much glue that the slight imperfection in the screen is now a complete write off, trying to take it apart. Now having to look and getting the whole thing.

Holy crap... Clearly this device has already been apart, with a big piece of plastic missing in this screen packing, and you can see another peaceful I off as he first tries to take the bezel off.
