It seems car thieves love the danger of possibly being caught because Landrover is number one and they are guaranteed to break down

You can turn off the keyless entry feature on LR (it’s a bit of a gimmick anyway if you ask me) which stops the key “transmitting” meaning you need the actual key itself to open and start the car, simple easy step which will stop anyone cloning the keys signal.

Just take the fuel pump relay out of fuse box and the car will not start and fit a disk loc on steering wheel as a deterrent

Catalytic converters as well. The high clearance big suvs make it easier for the thieves, once again Land Rover looking at you.

This has been going on for several years, and Land Rover cars do seem very frequently stolen in my area. JLR have a lot to answer for but like most car manufacturers they do very little.

Friend of mine has a 6 inch nail in a piece of wood under a cushion on the drivers seat.

Lots of high end cars are stolen and shipped abroad, perhaps checking containers before they go
on ships would be a good idea

Good advice the box your talking about does work. I would strongly recommend one. I use one as well as a faraday pouch for the car key when away from home.

Great video as always . There is certainly an issue in the insurance industry in trying to obtain cover for Range Rovers due to their propensity of being stolen

Shortage of parts available for popular models means those everyday vehicles are targets not just those stolen to order and sent abroad! Faraday pouches or any blocker box should help!

Canbus Attacks are now one of the biggest problems, LR and Toyota/Lexus are now both in the top ten most stolen cars in the UK, One Lexus RX was stolen in under 45 seconds from walking up to it to driving it away.

The Mercedes Me app has an option to disable the electronic key. Owners should just disable it every time they lock their car. Then even if someone steals the electronic code, the car wont unlock until the key is activated from the app

I've actually had one of those boxes (the exact one in your link) for just under 2 years. They work 100%. You can put your keys in the box and hold the box next to the car and press the unlock button on the car's door handle and it will not open. One tip though; pull the latching catch off as after a while you won't bother using it and then it just serves to prop open the lid.

Mercedes and JLR double-click the lock button on the car fob to switch off radio transmission.

Good advice Jim - I dunno when I was younger thieves robbed your stereo then after that it was your Tom Tom! Now it's the whole car - these keyless unlocking and starting cars are more trouble than they are worth a neighbour of mine has had a security post fitted and a steering wheel cover lock! Sort of defeats the object of easy keyless entry and start lol just use a bloody key 🙄🙄🙄

I think it could be because of higher second hand car prices because of demand for new cars with no supply
