Milwaukee M12 Soldering Iron.

A little extended look at the Milwaukee M12 soldering iron. It is a little large and cumbersome but it is really nice to be cordless. If you're on the m12 platform and just doing a little soldering here and there, this is great. If you're soldering a lot, then maybe this isn't the best choice. #tools #milwaukee #milwaukeetool #m12 #cordless #solder #electronics

I own this guy too. Heats up pretty quick. Great for soldering wire in cars.

I've got a Jupiter too. Great little blaster, and it is a good learning project to put together. And I've wondered about the M12 Soldering Iron, I've got several other of those tools.

I think that another option if you want a portable soldering iron are that small ones that run on a power bank. They are much better and more precise.

The different size tips I think are for different size spaced solder points/ wire gauge.

Hey Tool Pros, love your content man. I'm a big fan of Milwaukee but I seriously hate this soldering iron. I would recommend getting the basic Weller WLC100 for like $30 if you plan on using this at home and if someone really NEEDS a soldering iron for jobsite purposes than I would recommend a T100 (or any soldering iron that uses T12 tips).

This iron is great but you have to work quick so what you’re working with doesn’t overheat and melt. The real drawback is that the plastic collar tends to melt on the tool itself and there is no part available to replace which means you have to dish out for a brand new tool. Luckily Milwaukee was nice enough to warranty it and gave me a new one

It's good for people that don't do a whole lot of soldering but it's massive compared to any other option especially some newer really lightweight and sleek options that have a lot of features and can be run on any power bank. For the price I honestly couldn't recommend it sadly.
