In the evolving landscape of the Dodge Charger lineup, the introduction of the gasoline-powered Charger with the twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter Hurricane engine marks a significant milestone. This move showcases Dodge's commitment to diversifying its muscle car range by integrating advanced combustion engine technologies alongside its bold foray into electrification with the Charger Daytona models.

The twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter Hurricane engine is a testament to modern engineering excellence, offering a compelling blend of power, efficiency, and performance. Set to power the upcoming Charger Sixpack, this engine promises to deliver an exhilarating driving experience with two output levels: a robust 420 horsepower and an even more potent 550 horsepower version. These configurations ensure that traditional muscle car enthusiasts and those seeking the latest in performance advancements will find something to appreciate.

Dodge's decision to incorporate the Hurricane engine into the Charger lineup is not just about maintaining the visceral thrill of driving a gasoline-powered muscle car; it's also about pushing the boundaries of what these engines can achieve. The twin-turbo setup enhances power delivery and reduces turbo lag, ensuring a responsive and dynamic driving experience that muscle car fans crave. Furthermore, this engine reflects a sophisticated approach to powertrain development, balancing raw power with the need for better fuel efficiency and lower emissions—a critical consideration in today's automotive landscape.

With the introduction of the Hurricane engine in the Charger Sixpack, Dodge reaffirms its dedication to the muscle car segment's heritage while embracing the technological innovations that define the future of automotive performance. This strategic move ensures that the Charger remains relevant and desirable to a broad spectrum of car enthusiasts, from those who cherish the roar and rumble of a gasoline engine to those excited by the potential of electric propulsion. The Charger, with its Hurricane engine, stands as a powerful reminder of the enduring appeal of American muscle cars, offering a blend of tradition and innovation that continues to captivate the imagination of drivers around the world.

It’s no V8. But I personally like I6’s. So doesn’t break my heart as bad as if it were only electric

So it doesn't sound like a V8, but it goes way faster. Real 2JZ energy. AWD 550 hp stock!

I don't know if I am the only one but seems to me Dodge should've done a PHEV before doing their BEV Charger Daytona. The Charger Six-Pack sounds like it could have benefitted from a treatment similar to what Chevy did with the E-Ray. Then again, I am no American to be the judge, just a bloke from South Asia who likes muscle cars. But let's see what happens. The cars do look pretty nice btw.

Real gear heads would put respect on the i6. That’s a classic engine that is built to last. Reminds me of the classic muscle Aussie car era.

I'm a truck dude ((and not just a regular truck dude, but a heavy-duty truck dude, so what I say about the new Chargers and Challengers applies to the new Ram 1500)). To be honest it don't really hurt my feelings to hear about the little Thunderstorm I6 replacing the lifter-eating gen 3 Hemi. The "Hemi" was just a marketing term for the gen 3 motors as they do not technically have true hemispherical combustion chambers.

All-on-all I'm actually hoping the 4500/5500/6500 Silverados get a big block option.

The six has already proven itself in the Wagoneer, I can't wait to see what shops do to this thing in a Charger.

420hp 4 door is more than enough for me. Hatchback with fold down rear seats. I love it. 2 inches wider than previous model years. This would make a nice police cruiser or taxi.

I would prefered the hemi v8 instead that six pack because it's dodge's muscle adn engine!!

I’ve always thought ford should bring back the barra but in the US in a Thunderbird or cougar model so we keep our V8 mustangs to but have a competitor to Japanese imports and now this challenger. I’ve always felt the barra could power soo many vehicles like suv and even a truck without competing with the coyote which is why I know we didn’t get it here in the US

Being able to switch off AWD is actually sweet

Let's hope they can make an I6 that doesn't destroy itself
