Creating more rotational torque in your golf swing!
Показать описание
Can you do this? Many golfers struggle with rotational torque because they don’t fully understand how to apply force through their feet. Often, they’re told to push with the lead foot, but if that force is only directed up and down, it won’t create rotation—it’ll just push them up. This can lead to swing faults like loss of posture, early extension, and thrusting.
I like to use the example of a rolling chair: if you push directly down, you don’t move, but if you push at an angle, you roll back. This shearing force is what we’re looking for in the golf swing. By focusing on pressing the lead foot forward towards the toes, golfers can start improving control and reduce common faults. Understanding this could be your first step to a stronger swing!
It was the team @mytpi that introduced this explanation to me.
