As I'm exploring my aroace identity, I'm noticing I'm becoming more in-tune with myself. Tomorrow's the Pride parade where I live, so I'm going to wear my ace pin at my place of work, which is very busy and sees a lot of foot traffic. I've been waiting to wear it!

My advice for fellow aspec people is, think about what you really want. Don't just soak up what other people are doing, but think about what would really make you happy, even if it doesn't totally make sense at first.

This is a wonderful video! I'm both aro and ace and I've heard of the rings as symbols before. I love them as a concept. I even have some, I just don't wear them because they annoy me whenever i wash my hands or anything like that. I've also fnoticed that the white one turns yellow over time and i haven't found a way around that yet. Instead of the rings I wear bracelets (beaded and woven) in the flag colors ^^ and while I haven't gotten around to reading them yet, i do have Loveless and Aces wild in my tbr pile.

Tamworth Pride is on Saturday 13th of July (and I've got my Ace Pride Shirt (with cats on it) ready in my draw) so hopefully a video on that soon.
As it so happens I wrote a detective whose Aromantic and Asexual so hopefully that will be fun.
Still, being autistic it often seemed like I wasn't really resisting compulsory sexuality as it often feels like sex and romance is something society hadn't planned on me having anyway.
So I understand if I'm treading on your space.
