I am so everlastingly grateful for the priest I met at an airport a few years back. We were seated next to each other waiting for a flight and fell into conversation. I mentioned I had fallen away from practicing the faith due to some struggles in my life. He very kindly and respectfully said, “Would you like for me to hear your confession?” We found a nearby alcove and he heard my confession (he had his purple stole in his briefcase). Truly one of the greatest moments of grace in my whole life. I have been back in the Church and growing in love with the Lord ever since. God bless our holy and faithful priests.

I did bible in a year with father Mike but after I was done, I realized how much I was counting on him on a day to day basis. So I started catechism in a year.

"You stupid hand, you're dumb!" That's basically the sin of most teenagers. Prayers to all who are also suffering with this sin.

Two men on the front lines of the spiritual war of our age fighting with the love of Christ as their armor, shield and sword. The digital world is a central battle ground. Love you guys.

I am undergoing RCIA at the age of 25 and I am both really excited and immensely scared for my first confession. There's so much to cover and it's going to be very hard to say it all out loud but I am so fearful that something might happen before then so it really can't come soon enough. Thank you for this encouragement!

I appreciate Fr. Schmitz emphasizing the specificity of confession, and that, without being forthcoming with the details of the sin, there can be no true healing. It would be like going to a doctor and just claiming, "I don't feel well", but never detailing any symptoms or regions of the body that are particular effected by ones illness. Good luck in getting that doctor to accurately diagnose your malady, much less curing your ailment.

What I love most is when a heart wounded by sin repents AND Then FOLLOW THE MANDATE OF Christ TO FORGIVE THEM AND ADMONISH THEM TO SIN NO MORE.

Admitting being envious of someone's physical beauty, gossiping, and acting racist or sexist are the worst to confess. Sins are horrible when you are the perpetrator without a sob story. Or losing your temper unnecessarily is another shameful since.

The doughnut joke was funny.

Priests in my city are not so fond of confession time 😢 or maybe they are just tired ❤

Anyone has a clip when they talked about social anxiety? Was pretty insightful.

Bring back the confessional boxes! All the confessions are face to face in my area, which is horrible. Confession is hands down the worst part about being Catholic.

Question for Catholics: what does this mean: CCC 1855 Mortal sin destroys charity in the heart of man by a grave violation of God's law. I interpret it as hating God. Is that correct?

I still go to communion even though I haven't been to confession.
