Lock & Key

The fear inside my mind lies
The grief inside my body hides
And I can feel it in my chest
A lock and key
Keeping the best of me

The truth inside my heart cries
When the beast inside my body fights
And I can feel it in my arms
The energy of every word
You never said to me

Oh these memories misplace
more than I'd like.
Just to be the knife under my pillow
in the night.
And I can see these roots
are growing deeper all the time,
so I'll keep trying
to make it right.
