Ugh, that story of the 9 and 11 yr old nephew and uncle really got to me. It's one I really hope isn't true but I think it's one of stories that's the most truthful sadly.

It's crazy that falling asleep to these videos make me have vivid and extremely exciting dreams about experiences in the wilderness that should naturally be terrifying. It's like my subconscious is saying "Shape shifting monster pretending to be me while it chases after me screaming in my English teacher's voice? Got it, lets get all ecstatic about it!"

No bullshit. True story. Me and my bud were hiking up to a peak somewhere in Colorado. We are camping overnight. Ascending peak in morning. We are far off the beaten path. No deer trail. Climbing over deadfalll, boulders etc. Make camp, build fire. My bud elects to set up hammock in a cool deadfall formation approximately 20 yards to my right. I sleep on ground next to fire. Fall asleep. Cold wakes me up. Hear very slow, cautious, and deliberate footsteps approaching 20 yards behind me. I sit up noise stops. I feed fire. As soon as it lights up, I hear 15 yards below me ( so dark this is beyond my range of vision) a soft, subtle knocking. Like someone picked up a stick and tapped a tree. Immediately afterwards I heard a soft, response tapping 25-30 yards behind me. This exact sequence continued throughout the night until ( I guess around 4AM) the clear and distinct howling of a lone wolf pierced the night air. After the multiple wolf howls all the nonsense stopped and I slept like a baby
