Our generation is so lucky to have people sharing these ideas, tips. I'd imagine how studying in the past was hard lol.

1. 00:59 - 01:49 No cheating, no cramming
Give yourself adequate time to study and cover all of the material (by active recall, spaced repetition, Feynman technique, practice tests, etc.) for tests & exams.
He says he usually gives himself 6 weeks to study before exams.
The right formula to determine the proper time you need to start studying for an exam is 'Give yourself what you think you need + a little bit more on top of that'

01:49 - 03:01 Solid study schedule
Have a solid studying schedule so that you know what to study each day, and you should make a study schedule no matter how big or small the exam is.
Studying Timetables don't have to be neat, they just have to be clear and tell you what you want to study on a given day, don't spend too much time making a study schedule

03:01 - 03:51 Don't focus on others
Although it is good to talk to your classmates & friends about the high yield material and the study strategies they are using, you shouldn't hyperfocus on the exact things they are doing.
The point he is trying to make is that we should worry about how we are studying and whether it's effective, and not super focus on the ways other are studying

03:51 - 04:46 Study with friends
He's not necessarily saying study with friends, but more so study in an environment where there are people doing the exact same thing as you gives you the extra push you need to keep going even after a long study session

04:46 - 06:11 Past papers & question banks
Past Paper Exams and Practice Testa are so important because they are the closest things to the exams you will right, hence it is important to do those and see why the answer is right, and why other potential answers are wrong.
It also helps to retain information through active recall and tests your knowledge on the particular topic

06:11 - 07:26 "do not know" list
The 'Do Not Know' List is a list of topics & things where you need to look and study further.
Important to identify because those things are the areas you need to pay more attention to
Important to study the things you don't know because if you don't, you will continue to not know and it'll hurt your exam marks in the long term; also it is a waste of time studying the things you know as opposed to the things you don't know

07:26 - 09:26 Work throughout the year
You need to start learning the material & studying the material throughout the year; you can't just start studying close to the test/exam date
The only reason he gives himself 6 peeks to properly study before an exam is because, throughout the entire year, he is learning the content and studying it properly and efficient
A little bit of work every single day is the key to doing well and saving time in school h

09:26 - 11:08 Make time for yourself
Make sure that you have enough time to exercise & relax & do things you enjoy; This is NON-NEGOTIABLE.
11:08 - 12:56 Mind state & mentality
If you study efficiently and give yourself enough time to prepare, and still perform poorly, you need to reflect on why that happened, what made you perform poorly, and fix on that; If you performed well, make a note of that, and then for future assessments, do those things that made you successful before
Put yourself in the best possible position you can be before the exam; do what you can that is in your control

@ - @ We're all on our own path
There's no time for competition and comparing ourselves to others in a negative way, keep the environment positive and share your resources & knowledge with your classmates.
Focus on your own path and your own goals & journey & desires without worrying what others' are

This shows that discipline and dedication tops intelligence. Not to say that Nasir is not intelligent we all know how incredibly smart he is but so are many other medical students. Yet, what is truly exemplary and absolutely inspiring is his study ethic that I know for a fact only very few even less than a handful of students at KCL perhaps practice at the level that he does. This is truly encouraging to anyone who thinks that intelligence is innate and that no matter how much they study they can’t overcome their natural intelligence. This is pure work/study ethic and discipline at its finest. You never cease to inspire me Nassir <3

Been in medical college for 8 months and I can tell that don't compare yourself with others. Always try to be a better version of yourself not to be someone else and this helps me everyday, during exams, vivas or practical
