My favorite character in Touken Ranbu is Horikawa Kunihiro because his voice actor is Junya Enoki, he is the voice actor of Yuji Itadori in Jujutsu Kaisen and Tom Holland's Japanese dubbing actor like Spider-Man in Marvel Cinematic Universe, Junya was also approved by Tom in Spider-Man: No Way Home international interview

Horikawa Kunihiro is a human depiction of a wakizashi or traditional Japanese sword with a blade length of between 30 and 60 centimeters and this sword is similar to a katana, but shorter, wakizashi is even often worn with a katana by samurai.

And according to history, Horikawa Kunihiro was the wakizashi wielded by Hijikata Toshizo during the Bakumatsu period or the period when the samurai ended in Japan, but Horikawa's original body in the form of wakizashi was declared lost in Hakodate, Hokkaido which is where Hijikata Toshizo died

I saw this game today and began playing it for a few hours, I must say the voice acting is by far the best part of it. It even gets points for me not noticing for a while that the forging feature was a gatcha. What I didn't like is how expensive it was to get anything you were given as a courtesy, really quickly you run out of materials necessary for repairing the swords, and since they are technically objects they can't heal over time until you actively repair them, getting those materials is damaging the swords, and it leaves you in a never ending cycle where grinding it all you can do and pray the enemy doesn't get a lucky hit in.
Aside from that, the mechanics and story were interesting as well as the characters. Sadly I kept thinking how cool it would be if they took the formation tactics further, adding more character interactions, and more story aside from going out to kill an objective and return to base asap. I think that as an open world game it would have been better.
I liked it though, but I'll leave it because the credit trap scares me.
