CPR cardiopulmonary resuscitation - 3D animation

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, or CPR, is a lifesaving technique useful in many medical emergencies, including a heart attack or near drowning, in which someone's breathing or heartbeat has stopped. The American Heart Association recommends that everyone — untrained bystanders and medical personnel alike — begin CPR with chest compressions.

For the general public or bystanders who witness an adult suddenly collapse: compression-only CPR, or Hands-Only CPR. Hands-Only CPR is CPR without mouth-to-mouth breaths. It is recommended for use by people who see a teen or adult suddenly collapse in an out-of-hospital setting (such as at home, at work, or in a park).

For healthcare providers and those trained: conventional CPR using chest compressions and mouth-to-mouth breathing at a ratio of 30:2 compressions-to-breaths. In adult victims of cardiac arrest, it is reasonable for rescuers to perform chest compressions at a rate of 100 to 120/min and to a depth of at least 2 inches (5 cm) for an average adult, while avoiding excessive chest compression depths (greater than 2.4 inches [6 cm]).

This medical animation is used for education of medical professionals, emergency technicians and the general public about how CPR is performed.

First aid to a patient/injured person whose heart has stopped.

1) Take necessary safety precautions.
2) Kneel at shoulder level of patient/injured.
3) Check patient/injured's consciousness.
4) If unconscious, call 112 to a prominent person.
5) Hold the inside of the patient's/injured's mouth by the chin and tilt it downwards and check.
6) Bring the patient's chin to a 90° angle by placing two fingers of one hand on his chin and three fingers of the other hand on his forehead.
So give head back chin up position.
7) Listen to the patient's breathing.
8) Don't pull the hand on the forehead and put the other hand on the patient's chest.
9) and bring your ear closer to your mouth, while controlling the fluctuation of your hand on your chest.
10) If there is no breathing, apply 30 compressions, 100 times per minute, with a 5cm collapse to the chest.
11) then give two rescue breaths, close the patient's nose while breathing out, open it after exhaling, wait 1 second.
12) If the patient/injured is breathing, bring the arm closest to you to a straight angle, place the other arm on the arm that you have brought to a straight angle.
So give it a coma position.

Coma position of patient/injured.
It prevents the root of the tongue from blocking the trachea and allows it to breathe more easily.

13) Do not stay away from the patient/injured until the ambulance arrives.

NOTE: first aid saves lives.

Actually, I think what we see is the heart being compressed to the sides due to it being pressured from the top.

You should check the pulse in the neck or wrist with two fingers (index and middle), practice with a friend; if there isn't pulse start CPR immediately.

If you're not breaking ribs, you're not doing CPR.

Basically it's easy as it's shown in video if you exert more pressure on person's chest you could break his ribs

The last 2010 international guides tell not to check the pulse, but to check the breath. If the person is not breathing, start CPR.

That's done this way because it's easier and faster to check the breath than the pulse. And if somebody is not breathing, his heart is automatically going to stop.
