Grainfather Conical Fermenter Pressure Transfer

Easily attach to the Grainfather Conical Fermenter, for a clean and simple way to transfer your beer without the need to lift the fermenter to perform a gravity fed transfer. This also ensures less chance of oxygen entering the beer.

All you need is a C02 bottle to attach to the Pressure Transfer and you can transfer your beer into your keg or bottles through the Conical Fermenter Dual Valve Tap or via the top of the fermenter lid using the Beer Racking Pipe (included).

cool add on - however, surely you want to have it go into a keg purged with co2 through the beer out post to have a true closed transfer?

The grainfather conical fermenter is a wonderful (and expensive) bit of kit, I have one, along with the pressure kit.
3 thoughts; 1 the pressure transfer in the video is not a full, closed transfer. Gravity from the bottom tap is not much different. 2 the design of the top clamp and gauge position means they interfere with each other and it’s an awkward assembly (notice how the vid jumped on a bit to hide that). 3 the gauge is oddly fixed sideways, and the backlit screen doesn’t stay on long - reading dark grey numerals on a light grey background is not great.
Maybe the next version will address these issues. I would also want to see a connection between the 14mm hose and a beer in disconnect fitting

What is the max pressure we can use for the transfer? Where i can find it because no fermenter pressure transfer in your web site???

Hi. Do you reckon this could work for dry hopping by popping it on top of a 1.5 Inch Tri-Clover - Sanitary Sight Glass
and 1.5 Inch Tri-Clover Butterfly Valve?

The gauge on my kit is fixed vertically and interferes with the clamp assembly. It is not possible to close the clamp properly. I seemingly cannot move the gauge to a horizontal position without applying huge force which I do not want to do without an answer to this. The video shows the gauge in both positions, mostly vertical but once horizontal. Most of the pictures on your adverts show the gauge mounted horizontally. Can I turn the gauge? Will it seal? Do I need ptfe tape or something similar, please help.

id really like to hear from someone who actually owns one of these to see what their experience is with it and whether they still use it after some time or if its relegated over time to be a bit of a gimmick.

Not the best way to sell this product . Exactly the same result would have been achieved by opening the tap and discharging directly to the keg.

Looks great but by the time you buy the fermenter the glycol Chiller or the cooling pump and that I bet you're a thousand bucks a fermenter .. if it would be nice if there was something high quality that's more obtainable for everybody... I decided to buy three fermentasaurus over one grainfather fermenter .
