Are you kidding me...Lawrence Taylor changed the linebacker position, defense, as well, offense statagies, and to a lesser extent "Bullet" Bob Hayes revolutionized the zone defense that is still used by every team in the league.
One final comment, the premise used by this commentary is all wrong. One does not compare apples to oranges i.e. basketball vs football. It can easily be argued that Jordan would not even be the first choice in his sport.
