VIDEO | West Virginia Train Derailment: Train hits boulder, derails sending 3 to hospital

Train derailment in West Virginia.

Three members of train's crew were injured after a train derailed early this morning in Summers County, West Virginia after a rockslide. Some of the cars caught on fire and slid into the river.

A statement from CSX said all four of the train’s locomotives and nine empty coal cars derailed in the incident.

I'm going to ask this again. Are they ruling out sabotage? Seems like a lot of train accidents in a short period of time. Especially considering our electric power stations have been under attack for a while now

I have gone through the comments. A number of people have lived by the tracks and will say, this is not normal. All I can say is, me too. I am old, I don`t just live by the tracks, I don`t drive anyplace without crossing railroad tracks. Along with food processing plants blowing up. This is starting to look like something sinister is going on.

be a good time to strengthen water protections as an added deterrent against lackadaisical safety culture, since waterways are usually adjacent to tracks.

Our local train was rolling thru town at an absolute snail pace yesterday with their hazmat tankers. I’m wondering if they’re taking extra precaution with everything going on, because I’ve never seen them go THAT slow thru these parts even with the tankers.

This is why trains carrying chemicals through City's and towns everywhere
need to implement speed limits of say
40 mph and also make frequent stops
in order to check all cargo and properly
inspect all wheels and tankers thoroughly.
