I once had a Gold Severum that ate a plant…a PLASTIC PLANT 🌱! She was choking on it, so I quickly removed her from the tank, put her on a towel on my lap and removed the green obstruction from her mouth with tweezers!! It was a delicate procedure but I had to move fast! As soon as the plant was dislodged, I’m pretty sure she smiled at me 😃 She lived many years after year and always kissed my finger and let me pet her. Daisy was my all time fav wet pet 😊💛🐠

Much better dynamic between the two of you than the last video that I watched from 3 yrs ago.

Centerpiece in my 75 is a female convict cichlid. She's pretty big for a female, gotta be pushing 6 inches. And the orange on her belly is always there and pretty bright. But sometimes it gets absolutely vibrant!

I have your first two options in my fish room. If you two are ever rolling through Peoria you should stop by and check it out.

My 86g is fully planted and the biggest fish I have is 3 Chana Gourami. All the other fish get along well, Green Neons, Glolight Danios, mollies, daisy blue ricefish, and salt n pepper cory. Not to mention the blue neocardina, amano shrimp, and nerite snails. A true ecosystem!

Jason once stole my DeLorean, traveled back in time, punched a t-rex right in the face, then returned my DeLorean with a full tank of gas. What a guy.

Thank you for sharing all your knowledge. I took in a friend’s fish and he told me it was a rainbowfish but when I opened the cooler it turned out to be a red tailed shark. Had him in my 55 community tank - thankfully heavily planted - and while he and my female Bolivian ram are best friends (even spawning behaviours, so weird!) it’s not sustainable long term so I got them a 75 g and will mix them with my species only tank with 20 tiger barbs.

I have a community 75 with 3 schools, brilliant rasboras scissortail rasboras and Danieos. My center piece fish are a bright yellow and white angel and a kribensis.

I wish I could go above 55g at my apartment. I'd definitely go with severums. It's not just 1 or 2 things about them that I like. It's everything

My true red severum is a definite plant muncher lol. I found I've been able to curb his plant appetite with bug bites spirulina flakes.

Thank you so much for this video! I just set up a 75 and plan to get some fish for it this week. I’m thinking of going with a Geophagus as my centerpiece. 😊 BTW, can’t wait to see you at the Clash! Should be a fantastic event.

My RTBS is a sweetheart if she has a hide. Love that I have a 75G with her and she does so nice with so many species. Aggression aside, the personality of that fish is Wonderful.

You can also try a rainbow shark as well.

watching this video about the 75 reminded me of a couple questions i have about cichlids. Im putting together a 75 right now and im planning on stocking with Brichardi and multies. I want to keep the visual clutter to a minimum so im planning on useing an under tank sump for the filtration. two questions i have that are somewhat related. in your videos you say that turning the water over 3-5 times per hour is plenty, others have said as high as 10 times, im leaning toward your estimate for that but wondered if you had any ideas more specific to the stock for this tank. related but seperate is how much water flow do these guys like? Betas of course dont like any, White Clouds like lots, but I havent been able to find any info on flow for cichlids. they are a lake fish so should I assume they prefer less? Love you guys videos, always so informative, please keep up the good work and good luck with all the fish room changes!
