I have been taking them for 10 years..when it was said "they do nothing"..BS I am 71..my skin is at least 20 years younger. That is one ingredient in my must haves!

Of course all of the studies were industry funded. The only one which was not industry funded was an evaluation of the industry funded research. This does not prove that the studies are wrong just that caution should be taken

Hyaluronic acid combined with retinol/retinoid while using sun cream with minimum spf 50 every day will do wonders for your skin.

I use a diluted hyaluronic acid serum everyday immediately after showering - I love it, my face shows a lot less wrinkles than before I started. However the real dramatic effect has been on by shins, calves and heels. Every winter they turn dry, cracked and ugly. I've been applying hyaluronic acid serum 2-3 time a week and it's made a huge difference. No cracking and the skin is soft and supple.

It's also good for the gut, so does not necessarily need to go into the bloodstream to be helpful. The gut and skin cells seems to be able to absorb it themselves.

I have been supplementing with hyaluronic acid from past one year. Worked great for my skin and joints 👍

Topical hyaluronic acid does have a great temporary effect if applied to moist skin. Rub water on your face, then HA and watch those wrinkles plump out. It will also give your skin a glowing, shiny appearance.

Yeah, but for the first study where they put something on the skin, even if you simply apply common duct tape to a wrinkle overnight, once you take off the tape in the morning, you will have the appearance of removed wrinkles for about an hour. So, if they measured right after they took off the thing, the results are virtually without merit. They were even measuring with it on, so not sure how they can ensure it did not reduce the wrinkles itself.

In 2014 I was taking 4 to 6 hyaluronic acid supplement pills a day and I do believe it helped to plump my skin nicely, however I also have Spondylolisthesis in my spine with one vertebrae and after taking the HA for about 3 months I developed a synovial cyst in the joint of the vertebrae that is slipped forward. I am suspect that all the HA supplements I took for my skin had a big hand in the synovial cyst developing. The cyst pushed on my spinal nerves causing severe sciatic pain. I had 5 spinal steroid injections for pain management and they tried to drain the cyst as much as possible to cut down on the pressure on my spinal nerves. I do think HA supplements work but be careful not to over do them like I did (in case it did cause the development of the synovial cyst which I believe is highly likely)

I am over 50 and have used La Roche-Posay hyaluronic acid serum on my face for a few months. (I have no connection to the company.) I have been pleased with the results in reducing fine wrinkles under my eyes but noticed no reduction in the deep forehead and "smile" wrinkles.

Thanks for the molecular wt commentary hypothesizing gastric breakdown of larger to smaller. That was the sticking point on all previous HA videos.

Thanks for adressing the high/low molecular weight question more clearly. From previous videos I was under the impression, that you are biased in favor of the "do not age" product.

Anyone here use the do not age hyaluronic acid supplement daily? Have you seen a difference in your skin since taking it? Also- since it holds water molecules- has it caused you water weight gain/ water weight retention???

An honest question: Does HA improve the bodies health, or just how the body looks? Most above 80 years would look younger by fixing/whitening their teeth, but that doesn't mean their healthspan is increased.

Touching base on the cancer subject, recently scientists from the Institute of Cancer Research in London realized/discovered, because hyaluronic acid is a sugar based molecule, fuels cancer especially pancreatic cancer. Specifically talking about what naturally occurs in the body and supplement form. Aside from fueling tumors, It has been found to play a major role of the density of pancreatic cancer tumors and other types of cancer tumors making it harder to deliver cancer drugs to the tumor. Also, when glucose and other forms of sugar isn't available to provide energy, cancer feeds off Uridine-derived sugar from RNA rich foods, especially pancreatic cancer. It has been known for years that cancer feeds off sugar, all forms of sugar. When one form of sugar isn't available, cancer uses the next form for fuel. What took scientists so long to "realize" that? “If it'd been a snake it would have bit them!” Uridine, is found at different levels in meat including organ meat, seafood, fish, legumes, broccoli, spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, asparagus, soybeans and soy-based products, whole grains, nuts and seeds, dairy products, beer, bakers, nutritional and brewers yeast. As far as hyaluronic acid goes, so far the molecular weight matters. High molecular weight is great for hydration, joint health, anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, . It's the low and medium molecular weight hyaluronic acid that has great concern. This is a recent breakthrough for all types of cancer especially pancreatic cancer and breast cancer!

How convenient the same company you use for supplements made a huge donation to your study
