INSULATE Britain protesters have on Friday braved the rain to block the M25 as they boasted about causing traffic chaos for the 16th time in six weeks.

The climate warriors staged yet another sit in along the tarmac, as Essex Police confirmed they had been called to a "disruption" where ten people were arrested.

The eco-mob had previously told The Telegraph they might call off the sit-in over the drizzle.

But footage from the scene shows protesters lying on the damp road as police attempt to remove them after 14 of them descended on the motorway.

High vis-clad eco warriors can be seen milling around the stretch of the M25, which is largely empty, in the scenes, posted by LBC.

The mob said they decided to "change tactics" and instead walk into oncoming traffic.

Remember when they were arresting grannies for having a brew in a neighbours garden during lockdown?

Pedestrians aren't allowed on a motorway. It's already law. No need to wait for new acts to go through parliament. The police already have the powers to instantly cart them away and give them a night in the cells with no breach of their human rights.

i remember couple years ago my car broke down on the motorway. It made it to the hard shoulder and i called recovery company. The police showed up very aggressive telling me if my recovery company wasnt here within 1 hour they would get it towed off the motorway at my expence. Yet these scumbags get to do whatever they want. It's only a matter of time before there is a fatality due to their stupidity.

That's it officer, give them time to sit down and settle in nicely. Absolutely NO ATTEMPT to clear them from the road. BLOODY USELESS!

Did anyone notice the copper in the background likely pointing at a motorist and shouting "STAY" whilst he had a little chat with those lead in the middle of the motorway???

Was walking down the hard shoulder once when I was lost on expedition, police turned up within minutes and told me to get off the road. Looks like a shambles the way the police are handling these protests.

They have been lucky so far, but I can see a major pile up occurring, with people being killed. Let’s see how the public react to that.

There's already a lorry driver shortage as it is. And you better believe more lorry drivers are gonna quit because they are tired of sitting in traffic all day long because of these clowns. They are messing with people's livelihoods and taking money out of their pockets, which is an act of war

going about this protest completely the wrong way and losing public sympathy

What I cannot understand about these climate activists is why they don't ever talk about the totally unnecessary practice of turning the clocks back an hour in the UK at the end of October. A female professor at Cambridge who lead the team which developed the energy saving lightbulb conducted an investigation into it and concluded that if we followed the practice adopted in WW2 by turning the clocks forward instead of back (i.e. double British summertime) it would save 500, 000 tonnes of Co2 per year, the equivalent of taking 50 per cent of all vehicles off the road. I don't believe in the Co2 business personally, but I would like to see a massive reduction in energy consumption which would reduce all our bills. There is a myth that this ridiculous practice has something to do with farming but a recent pole by the National Farmers Union demonstrates this is false as the vast majority of farmers voted for longer evenings. The Police, AA, RAC and RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) have petitioned various governments for decades that it cause an average of 650 extra avoidable road deaths per year. What is this stupid turning of the clocks back practice all about, does anyone have a view? Is it another scam run for vested interests? Just by NOT turning the clocks back this weekend we would save 250, 000 tonnes of Co2 even if we didn't do something as radical as we did in WW2 by turning them forward to save 500, 000 tonnes. What other action could save so much Co2 by not simply doing anything?

The police should be going straight In and dragging them out of the way not chatting

Sad to see that the attending police officers only allowed the lawbreakers to settle themselves comfortably on the road. Wouldn’t it have been even more helpful to have supplied cushions, and flasks of hot chocolate?

You’ve got to love the way the police are waving down drivers who are legally going about their business, whilst protecting the clowns who are illegally blocking a public highway.
I used to have great respect for the police, but that was before they became a national joke, they’re totally unfit for purpose……

Every time I see the police at one of these, I'm reminded of Python's Spanish Inquistion.
Police: "Fetch....the COMFY CHAIR!! You will stay in the comfy chair until lunchtime, with only a cup of coffee at eleven."

Police having a nice cosy chat, why not just offer them a cup of tea and a biscuit too ? If this was an anti lockdown march batons would be flying … JOKE
