We tried our best with the pronunciations 😅 "quatre" is a hard word to say

Wow, despite their pretty horrible pronunciation, they are clearly knowledgeable about the resort. They really went into the details of accessibility of certain parts of the resort given your comfort level and accessibility by public transport etc. Particularly useful! I know Les 4 Vallées by heart and I didn't hear anything that wasn't correct and, more importantly, good to be aware of.

Amazingly accurate and honest review. I grew up in Verbier in the 70s and 80s. In the late 80s snow conditions began to deteriorate. Nowadays the winter snowpack is less than half of what it was. The entire village used to be ski in/ski out as well as the streets that would be hard packed with snow. In those days you needed chains just to get up to Verbier by car. Its a shame to see such an amazing ski area besieged by abnormally warm climate conditions and sketchy, at best, precipitation. In another 20 years Verbier and Zermatt will be some of the last viable ski areas in the Valais because there will be no more skiing under 2000 meters and spring snow conditions will creep even further up the mountain.

I was born in Verbier and I feel ashamed by the awful ski conditions you faced. Please come back after some heavy snowfall! You deserve better.

@Peakrankings St. Anton, Lech/Zurs, and Ischgl in Austria. Val d'isere, Tignes and Les Arcs in France. There are your future European trips. 🍻

suggestions i have for the channel
1: new rankings added to the 10 category mountain score (currently theres snow, resiliency, size, diversity, challenge, lifts, crowd flow, facilities, navigation, aesthetic) the new rankings i suggest are:
-beginner friendliness
-accessibility
-affordability
-ski season length
also, split ur crowd flow category into lift line crowd flow and trail crowd flow

2: facilities, terrain and lift upgrades for 2024-25 season

3: do a review of valle nevado chile

I love Verbier, my parents live in Montreaux on the Lake Geneva and the train connection alone is the big reason why I can always reliably walk to my train station in the morning and be skiing within an hour a half. Snow conditions can be hit or miss though, especially in January.

I wish every review was as detailed and as specific as this one! Thanks and well done!

I remember watching one of your first european ski resort reviews and thinking: "he hasn't figured out yet, that it's not the US..."
So watching this, i have to say, is a massive leap and a very good review!

If you want to get to Mont Fort before the crowds, stay in Siviez. Not much apres ski but, you can be at the top while they are still queueing at the gondola in Verbier. Then you can head over to Verbier after a couple of runs.

Wow, I was really impressed with this review! I have been to the Quatre Vallees Region more than 10 times, staying at different places and I have to say the information in this video is spot on.

Im an Instructor in Veysonnaz, great review. For me is a dream come true to be able to work here and I want to mention freeride final every year in the bec de roses....

La Tzoumaz is pretty good for freeride skiiers, it has a sizeable amount of offpiste options that are sun-protected, essentially the enire area between lifts is skiable. On prime days, Verbier natives often ski over in order to avoid queues and enjoy fresh snow.

Great 4K video, thanks a lot! As a native Swiss, I would say Verbier-4-Vallées is a great playground if you are at least intermediate skier (be careful: in EU beginner's runs are blue, and intermediate runs are red, whereas in US beginner's runs are green, and intermediate slopes are blue). Just a correction: free-ride runs (yellow run signs) are nor patrolled for avalanches, but they do are patrolled, even if only for lost or injured skiers.
