I am not sure I understood the difference between a touring bike and city/hybrid bike. I always thought touring bikes are just the expensive version of city/hybrid bikes.

What I don’t understand is which one is the best for me. I live in the suburbs, I’m overweight, I’m 5’10” (177.8 cm) I need a comfortable position and an easy to handle bike with the benefits of exercising to get fit. Please if someone have an advice I’ll like to hear it, thank you.

I want a bike for daily use like going to local shops etc but also for work around 15 km away with uphills and downhills aswell as bumpy abd rocky roads with potholes I also want to travel at a good speed I don't want to be slow

@Chain Reaction Cycle's I've been looking for a bike for a while now, but can't seem to decide which one to buy. I plan to use it to commute to work and the grocery store on occasion when my car is down or I just want to save some money on gas. My job is a 9 min drive or a 1hr 15min walk if I was to cycle it would be 17mins. This would be my first bike please give me your expertise?

I'm 6'2, 240 looking for a bike for a metropolitan city. I'll likely have to travel down some crappy streets so some off roading my be needed(like bumps, light gravel and a few potholes). I'll be using it for general travel but mainly for commuting to work about 10 miles. Any recommendation on a style I should go for?

Are there any bikes to buy? There is very little choice at the moment. I check out full suspension 29er size large on chainreaction, there are 4 in stock. Not much choice. None were Shimano equipped so none available to my taste. I ordered a 24" orbea in November might not turn up till May.
