Its interesting to me how that cardinal inthe video talk about the need for women in the church. I see that sort of talk often. Every parish I go to is dominated by women. Maybe its different everywhere else? I think all this gender war stuff is toxic.

I completely understand your frustration, Michael, as I often feel the same way. It seems that many of these cardinals prioritize promoting their own views and agendas over faithfully conveying what the Holy Father has actually said. It’s deeply disappointing to see so many in the Church hierarchy more focused on aligning with modern views and pleasing others than on accurately sharing the Holy Father’s message.

I thought this synod was supposed to deal with problems facing the Catholic Church, . Women being not Deacons and the structure of the magisterium when it comes to national bishop conferences isn't a problem.... unless your a modernist and need to destroy the fundamental structure of the Church.

Honestly, the Holy Father already made it clear with a big No for female deacons, so let’s burry that and move on, for all the podcasters that says Pope Francis is not the Pope, sorry to bust your bubble but he was elected by a conclave and no bishops opposed it, the pope is human and will say stuff that greys area, but that is only opinions not magesterium

We keep you, Holy Father, in our prayers, and your decisions in Faith of Christ's words.
He's totally right to go ahead and release it.
Too many people are all over it and using it for their own egos and using the Pope to boost their own platform.
People complain the Church is too slow, a gigantic institution.
But now it's moved quickly in the modern age, and people will complain about that!
The whole thing has been done, gone out to the people, and it was up to us also.
So now we have Sunday, the Lord's Day, to pray over it.

I read the unofficial translation and I don’t really see anything that’s severely alarming. My only concern is how individual priests or Bishops may interpret it.

One of the reasons why Sunday mass is the one point of contact is that priests celebrate mass at times, which make it physically imposdible for those who work in shops and offices to get to mass on a weekday. The earliest mass is apt to be at 7.30: but a shop assistant will not be sble to attend. This can even apply to feast days in some parishes.
Ascto females: in every parish I know women dominate in the parish council, in the choir, in the service of the altar. What is needed is an evangelism for and to men.
The church is not a democracy. That is not how Our Lord set it up.

Do you want to make the liturgy more paricipatory? Have the congregation stand, sing, and pray for 4.5 hours starting at 7AM on Sunday morning like the Coptic Orthodox Church does! That's an innovation I would definitely be in favor of! 😂 Also, make sure to have plenty of incense and holy water.

The whole thing about woman as priest is crazy! I won’t even take the Eucharist from a Eucharistic minister or the Decon. Only from the priest! But that’s just me and what my family does. We don’t want to see or need women priest!

Pros and cons to this I feel - this prevents 6 months of fear mongers from raising paranoia as the apostolic exhortation approaches. On the other hand, they may point fingers and throw shade about why Pope Francis approved it without taking more time to review it. It’s a lose-lose with them, they’ll always find a way to throw the pope under the bus
