How to make Cake Mix Cookies with ANY mix and ANY flavor!

Learn how to make CAKE MIX COOKIES - using any brand cake mix and any flavor - with tons of mix-in ideas and tips! These are the easiest cookies with just 4 ingredients + your favorite mix ins and toppings.

INGREDIENTS
½ cup (113g) unsalted butter melted or softened
1 15.25 ounce box cake mix (any flavor; see notes)
2 large eggs
1 ½ cups mix-ins see notes for variations
INSTRUCTIONS
If using softened butter, you’ll need a hand or a stand mixer. If using melted butter, you can use a mixer or do the following by hand.
Place butter, cake mix, and eggs in a large bowl. Stir or mix until combined and no lumps remain. Stir in mix-ins.
Scoop 2-tablespoon balls of cookie dough onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment or silicone baking mats. No need to space them; we are chilling the dough. Chill for at least 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a second cookie sheet with parchment or silicone baking mat.
Space cookies 2-inches apart on cookie sheets. Bake for 10-13 minutes, or until they just lose their glossy sheen. These cookies stay puffy and will settle a bit as they cool but don’t become flat.
Immediately after removing from the oven press a few more mix-ins on top for decoration. Cool at least 10 minutes before removing from the cookie sheet.
Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.

Ive been making these awhile and my husband is particular about his favorite cookies. This is how he likes them:
DH Golden Butter cookie mix, 2 sticks melted butter, 2 eggs, 2.5 C oatmeal, mini chocolate chips. Mix well, chill overnight, slightly underbake them to set up moist.
French vanilla cake is good too. Everyone loves these cookies and not one comment about them being cakey. The oatmeal bulks them, stretches the recipe, and the under-bake helps them set up moist.
These cakemix cookies have made my life a bit more simple. Plus they freeze very well.
I am healing from an illness that effected neurotransmitters and GI functions and simple is best for my life. God is healing me everyday. Tho i cant eat cookies, my husband loves them. He works hard, exercises, and maintains his weight very well. All praise and thankfulness to the Lord. 🙏🏼

I recently did some Lemon Cake Mix cookies...I rolled them in powdered sugar before baking and it made a "crinkle" type cookie. I also made a lemon batch with white chocolate chips and macadamia nuts. Sooo good.

We used to make box cake cookies all the time years ago. My favorite was orange cake, dark chocolate chips, put a little of orange zest in batter. It taste like the chocolate oranges you get at Christmas time! There is not very many lime cakes, So we took a lemon cake, put key lime zest and flavoring in with green dye. Keylime frosting! They were out of this world! Thanks for reminding me how much I loved doing cake cookies!

I made these cookies with the spice cake mix for Christmas- turned out beautifully! 1 box of cake mix, 1 beaten egg and 1 8 oz. container of softened Coolwhip. Fold together, scoop and roll int icing sugar. Bake at 350 for about 12 minutes. No spreading and we’re delicious!

I just made these: 1 box BC Devil's Food Cake Mix, 1 stick softened salted butter, 2 eggs, 2 T. unsweetened cocoa powder, 1 t. vanilla. I mixed all together, chilled the dough for an hour then used a 1 T. scoop, baked 10 minutes and can I just say YUM! I added the cocoa powder because I wanted an extra punch of chocolate. I might add a little more next time, or use a different mix like BC Triple Chocolate. I got 36 decent sized cookies out of this batch. I sure wish I had this recipe back when my daughter was in elementary school and would come home saying "I need to bring treats to school tomorrow" 😆
