I'd love to own a pair of Kefs not only for the great sound but being built by passion one day I will own a pair!, on a klispch budget but I know kef is in a different league Just sitting here dreaming of a set in my living room

To KEF:
My research into Kef brings me to this video. All reviewers say that KEF speakers are not so forgiving in that they hv low sensitivity, therefore requiring powerful receivers to drive them.

I am looking to purchase LS50 to pair with my tube amp. I am afraid that my tube amp may not be powerful enough to produce the kind of sound that KEF is known for.

I wonder what KEF's response would be to reviewers and users who frequently find that KEF speakers require the strongest amplifiers, the best DACs and high power

I get that this system is pretty much perfect so long as the midrange / LF part of the driver is idle.... But as soon as you put bass through it, you essentially get a waveguide that's constantly moving back and forth... Doesn't this cause problems with dispersion? I believe that they sound utterly fantastic, but the relationship between the tweeter and the moving midrange / LF driver while excursion is happening isn't really mentioned at all which kinda baffles me.

Wonderful loudspeakers. I've owned C55, C95 and Q300. Just wish the current Chinese manufacturing would stop.
