If you think about it the annoying dog is supposed to represent Toby, that means Toby stole papyrus’s special attack in undertale, it would be cool to see him return it to papyrus but on deltarune during his fight, it would be a cool reference.

Actually, it’s canon that papyrus special attack is the gaster blaster (it’s told if you spared papyrus on the heno route and have that date with him)

In Queen’s Castle, there’s a hallway of doors with monsters that will probably enter the Dark World. None of Undertale’s main cast aside from Asriel are included. Plus, I think there will be some gameplay to be included for the Light World, especially at any climaxes. I don’t find it plausible for us to fight Papyrus in the Dark World, but I do think we can have some Dark shenanigans and mechanics still happen with the Light World, especially if Gaster does stuff. Gaster and maybe Sans are the only ones I can confidently say we’ll fight, mainly because Gaster’s important and Toby loves Megalovania, but it doesn’t seem too far of a stretch to include Papyrus.

I saw a comic where he did have Gaster blasters, but he said they were too dangerous for the human and shooed them off for his real special attack…. Which was yet again stolen. The blaster had adorably derpy eyes

I could definitely see this being the case, especially cuz we fought birdley in chapter 2. It's very possible each chapter will have 1 or more lightners you can fight, and possibly freeze them with Noelle or something similar

Honestly I think he already used his special attack with the "Cool Dude" one, and the other one would have been a normal blue attack since Sans says his special attack was the blue in the first place.

I doubt that it will be a gaster blaster, because, well, I didn't see the dog stealing a gaster blaster, I saw him stealing a bone.
