Boy, Aku really pushed Jack's last button.

I like how Jack just immediately jumps into the portal. So many of his previous opportunities to go back in time have failed that he foregoes any contemplation, reflection or goodbye speech and just bolts into the portal. The worst part is, had he done this with some of the previous portals he'd encountered, he would have succeeded decades earlier.

I finally got to finish Samurai Jack and Aku was truly one of The Greatest Villians in Cartoon History.

The tragic thing about this is that Aku essentially tricked Jack into harming innocents with the sword which is normally impossible except for the fact that the little rams had been twisted and fueled by Aku's magic, which is probably why after killing their beast forms, they not only reverted back but outright perished due to the sword literally having to go through them in order to purge Aku's essence.

This is probably what Jack ment when he said "the sword left me" He had let his negative emotions control him. Only instead of fighting his demons and regaining inner peace like he had done before, this time it cost the lives of innocent beings which was probably the one thing which would guarantee Jack's right to the sword being revoked.

Aku is the epitome of a terrifying villain who is also hilarious at the same time. He’s right up there with The Joker.

One of the most despair inducing scenes. Aku's name is perfect for him. He is the embodiment of evil. One of the best villains in Cartoon Network history. Right next to 'HIM' from Powerpuff.

This is somewhat the last ever interaction between jack and aku because aku destroyed the last portal and transformed the rams before leaving, completely missing that jack lost his sword until scaramouche intervened.

Coming back to this, it seems like Greg Baldwin really nails the lower register of Aku's voice and the gruffness sounds a lot more genuine. Unfortunately, Mako's voice was unique and really complex... so it'd be about impossible for anyone to nail more than just one small part of his entire vocal range.

Fun Fact: this flashback scene of Jack accidently killed those 3 innocent Rams was never part of their original script of how he lost his sword. It has something to do with the relation between Jack and the green ghost horsemen in a different environment and how did Jack REALLY lose his sword and what was the true cause of his mental anguish, hallucinations and the Horsemen haunting him around the first 3 episodes. In episode 1 of Season 5 when Scaramouche was asking Jack where's his sword, in the flashback scene everything has the same eerie green colored back round (in which the horsemen shares the same green coloration) and the floors are brick rock compared to the peach colored solid crack floors in episode 7. Also if you look at the scene when Jack's sword is falling to the pit a ghost like face in the mist can be seen, its really creepy, use your phone camera for a better look.

I always said that his goal should have been to kill Aku first and then look for the portal.

Upon rewatching it, I don't hate Season 5, but it was a mistake making it 10 episodes instead of 13 like the previous 4 Seasons since the final 2 episodes felt very rushed.

No wonder why jack has fallen into depression, PTSD, and a suicide attempt. He even lost his sword too, but actually, the sword left jack due to his emotional breakdown, making him unworthy of wielding it
