There are so many ways to defend your farm in Scrap Mechanic Survival. In this video I show off four different traps that I used to defend against a large raid as well as an automated system for collecting and refining Haybot scrap spines.

Scrap Mechanic gameplay but not with ScrapMan, Moonbo or KanGaming. This is also not Scrap Mechanic Creative or Scrap Mechanic Challenge Mode. It's all Scrap Mechanic Survival mode. Oh and there's also no Scrap Mechanic Markiplier or Scrap Mechanic iBallisticSquid gameplay either. I also don't use the Suspension Glitch in Scrap Mechanic or Piston Engines.

I like that you collect the scrap metals after the raid! :)

One mistake that I see you (and many other players) make is you don't leave enough leeway for moving parts. If you have a one block hole in one solid object and try to pass a one block wide object through it it will *always* collide with at least one side of the other object, causing lots of friction. In many cases it will collide with two opposite sides which is much, much worse because it allows for the objects to just go through one another because the collision forces cancel out (also the friction becomes huge). One simple sollution is to always add wheels (or pipes on bearings) where the moving parts are touching. The bearings act as springs giving plenty of leeway. Just make sure that only the wheels/pipes are the contact points. This is especially important for faster-moving objects like monorails.

i know it's an experiment, but now you see the 4 types of trap, you can just remove the 3 worst ones and replace em with 4 times the same trap right...
no need to build a costly sawblade ridden trap if a rotating wheel does the trick no?

Idea! Download survival modpack so you can make camera powered turrets with spud guns . Every mod part costs 2 circuit boards to trade and even has cheap and small mountable spud guns that can be used for the turret . Durf has a tutorial on how to use the Orientation block to make turrets that point the orientation block as per your camera angle . Plus you can use water pumps to temporarily stun the hay bots giving you time to gun them down
