In the 80's there was on television at the closing time of a channel jazz music playing while a car was driving in the city. It always captivated my attention and could not stop watching.

This has the same effect on me. It reaches something inside of me that I cannot explain. In my best attempt to describe this... Melancholy with nostalgia, well being with a feeling of confusion. A different sense of reality. As if the consciousness we are familiar with was incomplete.

This music is an experience to be lived. The footage allows the mind to create its own journey into a dimention that exists only in the imagination which I wish could be shared. But I understand that everyone's experience is unique.

Sigur Ros really is the best. I'll admit when I first heard this I was slightly dismayed at the lack of action in this music compared to their other works. But I decided to put this on while writing a short story I've been trying to finish and I blitzed right though the writers block I had and sailed straight to the ending. They really have music for every mood/activity.

I've just gotten back from a week in Iceland and I'm watching this with tears in my eyes. It is a land like no other and I'm glad I had Sigur Rós with me on my journey. A part of my heart and soul will always be there. Peace and love to all.
