The price of 1 liter of olive oil from farmers in Sicily is around from 9 to 12 euro. Real olive oil in supermarket is impossible to finde….

When I told my wife this, she thought I was full of crap. She thought I was just joking. Look at the amount of farmable land in Italy, vs the amount of Olive oil that is imported. Also, notice when there was real olive oil, people were put off by the taste... anyone that has cooked for 30 years with olive oil will also tell you that Extra virgin Olive oil would burn at a lot lower temp than it does now.
