What are perils, you ask? A peril is any qualifying event, circumstance or hazard that causes damage or complete loss to your property or personal belongings.

The basis behind named-peril policies is that only the damage caused by one of the 16 named perils is covered. So if an alien spaceship attacks your home, you’ve got some problems. But let’s take a look at which 16 perils are covered.

3. Frozen Pipes
4. Damage caused by vehicles
