Viral Rewind: Virus.DOS.MadMan

. MadMan is a virus written for DOS that infects both .COM and .EXE files except it does when they're "closed". Running a program while MadMan is loaded in memory does not infect the file; instead it takes advantage of other programs that work with the file it wants to infect (i.e. a virus scanner or disk checker that scans/reads the program). It will add its code to the end of the program that becomes infected.

MadMan aside from it's payload performs file operations whenever batch files (.bat) are manipulated (such as adding/removing lines and then saving). Upon doing so it adds an ECHO command with the line" I'm watching you!".

As for the payload, whenever ctrl-alt-del is attempted (as in trying to soft reboot the computer) a graphical payload showing eyes followed by the line (displayed faintly) "Nothing can save you here, friend - you're in my world now!" And it will return to the DOS prompt. Using ctrl-alt-del again will perform normally.
