Driving through Texas, Mexico, and Guatemala to Honduras

We moved to Honduras, so I put my KLR650 in the back of an F-250 Diesel and drove much the length of Central America.

I went from California to Guatemala is 2004, wife 2 kids and myself and had a greeeeat time..
I just wanted to know, why Honduras??

im planning to move there with my husband. He's originally from Honduras. I wanted to drive there since we have animals. I read that in Mexico you need Mexican Insurance. Do you know anything about that and since we are moving and not coming back, do we have to pay alot more money for the truck. also will I need a visa for each country or just Visa for Honduras and passport for Mexico and Guatamala.

Joel, For the life of me I can't seem to message you. I can't find the option, and in usual google fashion, the directions on how to go about it are horrific. So anyway, what route did you take to get through Mexico and Guatemala?..which roads? You seemed like you guys were pros.
