Lumix throws hands! I've got two REDs, a 4D and a Blackmagic 6k FF.. but I couldn't say no to picking up the s5 ii w/ a kit 20-60 lens that has SUPER CLOSE minimum focus.. FF, 6k w/ a 3:2 sensor, de-squeeze preview options, phase-detect auto focus, IBIS; what year is this?!!?

2) I noticed you talked about the new pyxis but will you ever on your channel talk about the C400 or C80 or you just done talking about canon all together? Because you a couple others that I follow who are very pro sony are ignoring canon all together. And it sucks because I like seeing the comparisons (I'm still getting the C400) but I like seeing the comparisons with those cams from others in the field prefer working with other brands to get their opinions too.

I think you can throw a rock these days and get something great with about 12 stops, and that's been around for about 4-5 years now.. I've been patient however, because Panasonic is gonna release the S1H2 (sometime in my lifetime) and just crush them all. - Especially if they implement internal ND.

I had a preorder in on a Pyxis and owned a couple of full frame BMCCs, but that sensor proved to be too limiting and I shifted into Sony FX. If you have loads of light to work with all the time then BM is great, I do all of my editing in Resolve and BRAW is easy to work with but when you have to shoot in the real world without a gaffer, then Sony all the way.

I’m waiting to see if the following will be released: R5Cii, S1Hii, and the FX3ii and make a decision from there. 2024 has been dire for camera releases so hoping for more in 2025.

The lumix Bs1h is that camera, has the same sensor of the mirrorless S1h but in a cinema box camera, and the sensor of the S1h is better than the S5IIX because of the Low pass filter and better colors similar to the varicams

To be honest the fx3 is in a mirrorless body, its not in a cinema body and you have to rig it like the lumix s5iix.
