The downfall of Roblox's Meep City...

today i talk about roblox meep city and the things it has gone through over the past year

Man, I remember how innocent and fun Meepcity was when I was younger. It was the first game my siblings and I played when we joined Roblox, and it’s sad to see it didn’t age well.

i grew up playing meepcity as it was one of the only popular games around at the time. it's seriously insane to see how much it's changed, and if the creator had better moderation over the game that would be amazing and would give him way more players

Meep City was the absolute best during 2016-2017. No weird parties or anything like that. I remember spending hours playing mini games for coins to decorate my house. I wish I could re-live it.

I used to play meep city when around 2017-2018 during the time when "slenders" are quite rare. It feels very disappointing to see people abusing the system during late 2020-2022. It was an amazing game which brought plenty of happy memories. I used to spend all day long just on this game, grinding coins or hanging out with different players. I wish this game can be something like brookhaven in order to get more players + having less "slenders". Rip legend, meep city

I really loved the genre of parties in Meepcity that was just video game/cartoon cosplay parties where you could easily meet up with other people who like the things you like and just hang out and roleplay together.

It sucked when they removed the party genres so you couldn’t separate the gaming parties from all the gross ones, and then they just removed parties entirely. I miss being able to easily find other cosplayers for things I like.

But it was probably for the best with how out of hand it was getting.

I actually really miss the parties. Obviously not for the gross stuff, but mainly because of one’s Ive found with cool people, me and my friends trolling others. We would troll people by dressing up our avatars weirdly (not anything inappropriate, just really weird) and annoying people (the bad people) and I always loved how entertaining it was for me. I’ve always actually liked Meep City since the early stages of it, because I would roleplay with people. Like pretend to be someone’s parent, and they are my kid or baby. I used to like pretending to adopt babies and kids, and I always had a bunch of beds in one room, while another room is mine. It brings me so much nostalgia thinking about it. But now it’s ruined

It's really sad to see such a great game die out, I loved MeepCity, but every time I join it it feels like I'm playing with bots or soemthing, everybody just stands around, or there is just argueing. In 2016 or 2017 when I first played it, people wanted to roleplay and have fun. I feel like the game got overdevoleped in a way too, I miss the classic Meepcity. :/

I played meepcity in its prime - 2016. It was my favourite game when I was a kid, putting the old accessories on the little round things and naming them stupid things. I used to love going fishing and meeting new people to play with. Some of the parties in the past were genuinely innocent, a SpongeBob party I went to a few years ago was hilarious; but I found a room with beds next to each other and people saying extremely questionable stuff in them. Sucks to see what stuff happened to this game.

I miss Meepcity. It was one of the first games I played and I loved it so much. I played it so often. When I joined a couple times and saw all of... That... Because parties were over... I genuinely wanted to cry. Meepcity was a game all of the sweet little noobs would play. I made so many friends there. Hell, I was so obsessed with making coins just so I could dress up my meep! I bought plus too. It was the biggest roleplay game for a long time. I miss it. I also kind of miss the party feature. I used to make my castle all fancy and then make a party server and call it ballroom castle dancing or something. I wish meepcity wasn't so toxic now. It isn't going to get better.

As a person who used to play MeepCity, I find this very sad how one of the first games I played on Roblox is coming to an end.

it's seriously impressive on how meepcity still averages about 20, 000-30, 000 players daily considering all of the incidents that have happened; the game has gotten hacked twice, a player hacked guns into the game and shot everyone when the party feature was still around, roblox has banned the game, parties got removed and the massive amount of oders in general.

Who remembers when meep city was just a regular game you would play with your cousins and friends and just overall have fun and now its just another OD cesspool ☹️

i used to love meepcity, and its kinda sad that its going away, but its also smthing to rejoice abt. my friend once got verbally abused on meepcity and it left her in tears😭😭

Im going to be honest i used to play this A LOT basically every day with my friends and most of them i actually met through a meepcity party server this was years ago. The good memories with this game honestly happened in 2020 all the way back to when it was created i stopped playing towards the end of 2021 and all throughout 2022 and just a couple months ago i joined the game after SO long. I saw my friends (ones i made on meepcity not on the actual website) and they also stopped playing for ages i actually hardly remembered them those who i did remember i started thinking of the memories with them, all the roleplays we did and it made me a bit sad to see that they dont come on anymore and if they did they probably wouldnt remember me. People honestly ruined meepcity thats one of the reasons why i stopped playing the other reason was they took away the only thing that really made meepcity popular, u could find so many friends from parties but people just used it in the worst way to the point where it was forced to be removed. I dont even want to play it anymore its not fun to me. This is really sad.
