Why Roblox became TOXIC...

Today I talk about Roblox games and communities that were once great, thriving, and mostly wholesome; that later became toxic or ruined lol. no hate to meep city adopt me or prison life ummmmmmmm

I miss when roblox wasn't so toxic. Noone was afraid of being judged and everyone did their own thing, now everyone tries to fit into these lame stereotypes and end up being toxic and overwhelming lol

I miss going back to 2018 when meepcity wasn’t a problem. I used to play it every day for hours, until it was ruined. Once it became bad, I stopped playing it. I would do anything to go back to that time.

Roblox has became less played by kids and instead played by teenagers and even young adults. The increase of hangout maps and so forth gave it a nice spot to fester up. I think roblox has shown glimpses of its former self with innovated and new amazing games but now its became a haven for a way to make a quick buck, harass people and prey on children. The catalog is another major issue, roblox puts all of these truly inappropriate items and "limited" time items at the front of the store. Builders club got removed and replaced with a premium which some like but i personally think its just another way for roblox to get you to buy even more robux with discounted prices. I think overall the landscape has changed and kids now require more attention and also engagement. Why sit on a tycoon game when you can literally run tons of other and if not better games that are more enjoyable and can run on what ever hardware you have. The main reason why i ever started playing roblox was because all i ever had was crappy electronics to run it. LSS: Older Age Group, Roblox Greed, Social Media Attention, and higher demand for more time consuming and some times grindy games.

It's the fact that I remember these games in their prime all too well before corruption. Meepcity and Adopt me suck now and for many reasons they've forgotten what childhood they created for some individuals

The one thing roblox is missing today is the wholesomeness it used to have. I feel like it was so easy to make friends back then, everybody was so nice and wholesome. And i miss that.

I really miss 2016 - 2018, it's really easy to make friends back in those years, I make friends through roleplaying and chatting with them, but now is not often seeing people roleplaying anymore...

I remember when playing prison life I was excited to escape with some other prisoners too, but when I did there wasn't like a "city" to "rob" as I excepted. Just I think an grocery and uninteractable apartment/houses which you couldn't do anything.

crazy thing is, roblox always had that dark side to it, but now its more mainstream. and the sad thing is its most likely because the people they see in games act like they are so badass or their life environment influenced them.

its upsetting to see as somebody who joined in 2016, where everything was friendly and colorful, just to see it all go down the drain 7 years later to be hateful, inappropriate and dark. (not saying it wasnt that way before, its just that it happens more often than back in 2016)

I joined back in 2017 and it was so much more fun back then. I used to play Adopt Me, Royale High and Meepcity all the time for the roleplays. I miss when it was mainly a kids platform because even if kids can be annoying sometimes they generally aren't that bad, unlike young adults and teenagers who feel like they need to start a fight over every small thing.

I miss the old roblox, when online dating wasn't a thing and when everyone didn't judge from others avatars.. Espesically the old games and the old oof sound.. now old roblox games are dying like, work at a pizza place, royale high, break in. It's hard to see people become toxic:(

Roblox was a wholesome game around when it wasn't entirely known too well. I played it around the 4th grade, about the time the game was very tame and simple, with ambitious creators and unique games all around. However people lost tact with the game, the game begun to Skyline in popularity and people couldn't keep up with the times, soon resorting to making repeats of unoriginal games. Original players from that era either quit or got banned. It happens to everything, nothing ages like wine, we all eventually decay.

In Roblox there has always been toxicity/racism, but since the golden era began (20xx-2016) the community has only increased the levels of toxicity and racism, not only because of the weird people on the platform, but also because of the carelessness that moderators give the platform, roblox is not a safe place. Anyway, I'm getting away from the topic, thanks for reading ❤
