Liz Truss speaks at party conference amid Tory turmoil

The Tory party conference came to a close today after a tumultuous week for prime minister Liz Truss.

Ms Truss's first conference as party leader has been plagued by protests, U-turns and rebellion, with members of her cabinet openly challenging the PM’s policies.

During the conference, the prime minister outlined her priorities and policies amid calls for a general election and U-turns on the mini-Budget.
