To be fair, the reach for the gun makes small sense cuz usually people do one of two things (in the eyes of most police) get out to attack or to run. This can make reaching for a tazer or gun a second nature reflex which is bad. So I'm happy that in a series that has fictional cops that they at least had her reach for her weapon once cuz it does tell us that reaching for their side arm is second nature to the cop but she never takes it out of her holser unless she is sure and she know for sure during this situation that she doesn't need it while also keeping herself safe by stepping back that way she isn’t right infront of the guy that way even if she does say something a tad bit hurtful by accident he can't get violent with her without goinv towards her first. By giving space in allows both herself and the person to keep themselves safe without any unintentional or unnecessary conflict (which is the proper way to keep this civil and de-escalate a situation)

Points should be lost because she didn’t verify that he did actually live near there. Always check the drivers license & car registration before letting him leave the scene. He could have been a stalker and followed the innocent girl to her home after the police left the scene. 😮

I've seen some comments here saying this dude is still a creep even tho he corrected his behavior. That line of thinking is a big part of why depression is on the rise. Nowadays any action you've taken at any point in the past will be held against you got almost your entire life now. People can change, people can make mistakes, people are... Well people. I won't say forgive everyone for everything. What I am saying at least be willing try to do so. Cause forgiveness is becoming way too rare in this modern age.
