I have wanted to do what the two of you are doing for fifty years. How great is it. You take that big bite out of life and let me see what I missed. My father helped build the alcan highway during WW2.

I lived in Springfield (late 90s)... I miss the geography of Oregon. Lived there less than a year until my wife and I split up and I left (she was from Oregon and I moved her back after she'd been away a decade+). At least I got her back with her family, she's still there to this day.

The first time I went over the AlCan highway was in 1959 - it was terrible - dusty, gravel, narrow, windey - at least they have straightened it, and paved it.
